Coming up in the Commons: 16-20 November

We’ve put together a list of highlights to keep you on top of the legislation, debates and questions coming up this week that you need to know about.

Monday

On Monday proceedings will begin at 2.30pm.

There will be questions to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. For a complete list of questions see the Order of Business on the day or Question Book in advance.

There will be one urgent question from John Baron MP to ask the Leader of the House of Commons if he will make a statement on participation in debates.

MPs will also debate the remaining stages of the Pensions Schemes Bill.

Tuesday

Tuesday’s highlights include questions to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care (for a complete list of questions see the Order of Business on the day or the Question Book in advance).

There will be one urgent question from Emily Thornberry MP asking the Secretary of State for International Trade if she will make a statement on the proposed parliamentary scrutiny of future Continuity Trade Agreements

MPs will also debate the second reading of the National Security and Investment Bill. This will be followed by the Money resolution stages of the Bill.

Wednesday

On Wednesday there will be questions to the Secretary of State for Wales, followed by Prime Minister's Questions at 12 noon (for a complete list of questions see the Order of Business  on the day or the Question Book in advance).

There will be an urgent question from Louise Haigh MP, asking the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the preparations for the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol.

There will also be an urgent question from Justin Madders MP, asking the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government if he will make a statement on the Towns Fund

There will also be a general debate on Covid-19.

Thursday

On Thursday there will be questions to the Secretary of State for International Trade, as well as business questions to the Leader of the House Secretary of State. (For a complete list of questions see the Order of Business on the day or the Question Book in advance).

There will be an urgent question from Sir Christopher Chope MP, asking the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care if he will make a statement on his Department’s performance in answering written questions from Rt Hon and Hon Members.

This will be followed by a statement by the Prime Minister on an Update on the Integrated Review.

There will also be a statement from the Minister for Sport, Tourism and Heritage on an Update on financial support for the Sport Sector.

There will also be Backbench Business debates on Regulation and prevention of online harms and International Men's Day.

Friday

The House will not be sitting this Friday.
