We’ve put together a list of highlights to keep you on top of the legislation, debates and questions you need to know about.

Below is the business of the House for this week – all business is subject to change.

Monday

The House will return from recess and sit at 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Defence Secretary.

There will be a statement from the Prime Minister on a Covid-19 update.

There will also be a business statement from the Leader of the House.

This will be followed by a general debate on Covid-19.

Tuesday

The House will sit from 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Justice.

Followed by two urgent questions:

  • Anneliese Dodds MP on economic support available to individuals and businesses during and after the recently announced lockdown.
  • Tulip Siddiq MP on Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe

Chris Grayling MP will then present a Ten Minute Rule Bill on Food Labelling (Environmental Sustainability).

The main business is on remaining stages of the Overseas Operations (Service Personnel and Veterans) Bill.

Wednesday

The House will sit at 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.

This will be followed by Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs).

Gavin Newlands MP will then present a Ten Minute Rule Bill on Employment (Dismissal and Re-Employment).

MPs will consider the House of Lords amendments to the Agriculture Bill and the Immigration and Social Security Co-Ordination (Eu Withdrawal) Bill.

Thursday

The House will sit at 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Secretary followed by questions to the Attorney General.

Mr Alistair Carmichael MP will then present a bill on Plastic Pollution.

Main business will start with Backbench Business debates on:

  • the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme
  • UK Government’s role in ensuring innovation and equitable access to treatment within the international covid-19 response.

Friday

The House will sit on Friday from 9.30am.

The main business will be Private Members Bills (for more information see the Order of Business on the day or the list of Bills before the House).
