Urgent questions and statements

This week there were three statements and one urgent question.

On Tuesday, Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson made a statement on the return of students to universities.

On Wednesday, Tracey Crouch asked an urgent question on Government support for professional and amateur sport.

On Thursday there were two statements:

Matt Hancock, Health Secretary, made a statement on Covid-19 and the 10pm curfew.

Gavin Williamson, Education Secretary, made a statement on Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Post-16 Education.

Bills and legislation

A Bill is a proposal for a new law, or a proposal to change an existing law that is presented for debate before Parliament.

On Tuesday, the United Kingdom Internal Market Bill passed all remaining stages in the Commons.

On Tuesday, the Non-Domestic Rating (Lists) (No.2) Bill passed its second reading.

On Wednesday, the review of temporary provisions for the Coronavirus Act 2020 was passed.

On Thursday, MPs approved all remaining stages of the Sentencing Bill. The Social Security (Up-Rating Benefits) Bill passed all its remaining stages in the Commons.

General Debate

The House held a debate on Covid-19 on Monday.
