Monday 12 April

On Monday 12 April the House of Commons met to pay tribute to HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Tuesday 13 April

The House will sit at 11.30am. Proceedings will start with questions to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock MP.

There will be the following urgent questions:

• Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, Anneliese Dodds MP - "To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the process by which Greensill Capital was approved as a lender for the Coronavirus Large Business Interruption Loans Scheme"
• Tim Loughton MP - "To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs if he will make a statement on recent sanctions imposed by the Chinese Government on UK citizens"

Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Brandon Lewis MP, will make a statement on a Northern Ireland Update.

Main business will begin with the second reading of the Finance (No. 2) Bill.

Wednesday 14 April 

Proceedings will begin from 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the President of COP26 (the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties), Alok Sharma MP.

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 noon. 

Main business will begin with Opposition Day debates on:

• Committee to investigate the lobbying of Government
• The strength of the UK’s armed forces

Thursday 15 April

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for International Trade, Lizz Truss MP.

Main business will begin with consideration of Lords amendments to the Domestic Abuse Bill.

Friday 16 April

The House will not sit on Friday.
