We’ve put together a list of highlights coming up in the House of Commons Chamber. 

For a complete list of questions and updates on urgent questions and statements see the Order of Business on the day or the Question Book for questions in advance.  

Monday 26 April 

The House will sit from 2.30pm on Monday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Education.

There will be two Urgent Questions:

  1. Alison Thewliss - To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office to update the House on the Ministerial Code
  2. Andrew Mitchell - To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs if he will make a statement on reductions in the ODA budget

There will be two Ministerial statements on:

  1. Secretary of State for Health and Social Care: Covid-19 Update 
  2. Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport: European Football Proposal

Main business begins with consideration of Lords Amendments to the Financial Services Bill.

MPs will also consider Lords messages on the Domestic Abuse Bill, and Amendments to the National Security and Investment Bill.

There will also be consideration of a motion on Coronavirus regulations relating to international travel.

Tuesday 27 April

MPs will meet from 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

There will be the following urgent question:

  1. Tulip Siddiq - To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he will make a statement on Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe. 

And the following Ministerial statement:

  1. Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Labour Markets, Paul Scully on the Post Office Court of Appeal judgment.

The main business will be consideration of Lords message on the Fire Safety Bill, with time set aside for further consideration of Lords Amendments if necessary.

There will also be a Ten Minute Rule motion on Tool Theft (Prevention).

The House will also consider delegated legislation.

Wednesday 28 April

Proceedings will begin from 11.30am on Wednesday. Proceedings will start with questions to Secretary of State for Scotland.

There will be the following urgent question:

  1. Lisa Nandy - To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs if he will make a statement on the support his Government is providing to the Indian Government

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 noon. 

Main business will begin with consideration of Lords amendments, if necessary.

There will also be a Ten Minute Rule motion on Environment (Regulation).

The House will also consider delegated legislation and will debate a motion on amendments related to the Independent Complaints and Grievances Scheme.

Thursday 29 April

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Transport.

Main business will be consideration of Lords amendments, if necessary.

The House will prorogue when Royal Assent to all acts has been signified.

Friday 30 April

The House will not be sitting.
