The Education (Guidance about Costs of School Uniforms) Bill completed its remaining stage in the Hosue of Lords on Wednesday 28 April.

No changes to the wording of the bill were suggested ahead of third reading.
As both Houses have agreed on the text of the bill it now awaits the final stage of Royal Assent. It will then become an Act of Parliament (law).
Royal Assent is expected to take place on Thursday 29 April.
Report stage: Thursday 22 April
No changes to the the text of the bill were put forward at report stage.
Committee stage: Friday 16 April
Members discussed a requirement for the Secretary of State to lay the guidance and any revised guidance before Parliament, prior to bringing it into operation by a statutory instrument.

Second reading: Friday 19 March
Members discussed a range of issues highlighted by the bill, including the burden of uniform costs to parents, single-supplier contracts and availability of second-hand uniforms.
Baroness Lister of Burtersett (Labour), president of the Child Poverty Action Group and the bill's sponsor in the Lords, opened the debate.
Baroness Berridge (Conservative), Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the Department for Education, responded on behalf of the government.
Education (Guidance about Costs of School Uniforms) Bill
This bill requires the Secretary of State for Education to issue guidance on the cost of school uniforms for state schools, academies, non-maintained special schools and pupil referral units.
