The Speaker of the House of Commons granted a request from the Government to recall the House at 11.30am on 6 January 2021. The Prime Minister made a statement providing a Covid-19 update, and MPs considered related public health regulations.
Business when the House of Commons sits on 6 January 2021

Hybrid Proceedings and Proxy Voting
The current rules on virtual/hybrid proceedings allow for virtual participation in all questions, ministerial statements and debates.
Recall of the House of Commons
If there is an important development during a recess period, the House of Commons and House of Lords may be recalled.
Standing Order 13 gives the Speaker the authority to recall the House of Commons, if he is satisfied it is within the public interest.
