Four short debates in House of Lords

On Thursday 21 January, Questions for Short Debate recommenced in the House of Lords. Members discussed rural landlords and the letting of land, the 'Global Britain' agenda, antisemitism in universities, and taxation.
The debates take place in hybrid Grand Committee, with members taking part online or in a room away from the chamber following social distancing guidelines.
These debates (‘Questions for Short Debate’) last for an hour. They are a chance for members to discuss policy issues and raise matters of concern.
Baroness Rock (Conservative) asked the government what plans they have to reform legislation and taxation related to rural landlords and the letting of land.
