Monday 5 July

The House will sit from 2.30pm on Monday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Defence, Ben Wallace.

There will be a statement from Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid, on Covid-19.

Main business will begin with the remaining stages of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill.

Tuesday 6 July

The House will sit from 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Kwasi Kwarteng.

There will be two Ministerial Statements, including on:

  1. Covid-19 update - Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid
  2. Covid-19 update: Easing restrictions in education settings - Secretary of State for Education

Main business will begin with the second reading of the Dissolution and Calling of Parliament Bill.

  • No Westminster Hall debates will be scheduled for 6 July as the Public Bill Committee for the Rating (Coronavirus) and Directors Disqualification (Dissolved Companies) Bill is expected to be sitting.

Wednesday 7 July

The House will sit from 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the Minister for Women and Equalities, Liz Truss.

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 noon. 

Main business will begin with Opposition Day debates:

  1. Covid-19 contracts and the public inquiry into the handling of the outbreak
  2. EU Settlement Scheme

Thursday 8 July

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, Michael Gove.

There will be two Ministerial Statements, including on:

  1. International Travel - Secretary of State for Transport
  2. Afghanistan - Prime Minister

Main business will begin with a general debate on fuel poverty.

There will also be a debate on the Implementation of the Recommendations of the Independent Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Review. The subject for this debate was chosen by the Backbench Business Committee.
