What's on in the House of Lords: 19-22 July

This week in the House of Lords chamber:
- Members continued line by line scrutiny of the Skills and Post-16 Education Bill at committee stage, raising issues including the lifelong loan entitlement , careers advice and SEN provision
- Members continued checking of the Animal Welfare (Sentience) Bill, including changes for cephalopods and decapods
- The House also began further scrutiny of the Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Bill, including requiring landlords to notify tenants of future changes to ground rents
- Members also pressed government on the Northern Ireland Protocol, and raised concerns on new regulations for COVID-19 testing, mandatory vaccinations for care home staff and calorie labelling for restaurants and takeaways.
