The Queen's Birthday Honours 2021

Parliamentary staff are among those on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2021, as well as current and past Members of Parliament and Members of the House of Lords.
The Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2021 demonstrates the extraordinary efforts made by individuals in all four nations of the United Kingdom during the pandemic.
Staff of both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and in the Digital Service, work in a wide variety of professional services to support each House. Three members of staff and the former Clerk of the Parliaments, as well as members of both Houses, are recognised for their work in Parliament
Parliamentary staff
Jo-Anne Louise Crowder, Office Manager, Speaker’s Office, House of Commons, has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for services to Parliament.
Albert Andrew Jaggs, Ceremonial Works Manager and Associate Serjeant at Arms, Houses of Parliament, has been awarded an MBE for services to Parliament and voluntary service.
Elizabeth Anne Finlay Gardiner CB, First Parliamentary Counsel, Office of the Parliamentary Counsel, has been awarded a DCB (Dame Commander of the Order of the Bath) for services to Government and the Legislative Process.
Former Parliamentary staff
Edward Christopher Ollard. The former Clerk of the Parliaments, the most senior officer in the House of Lords and head of its Administration, has been awarded a KCB (Knights Commander of the Order of the Bath) for services to Parliament.
He said: "My award is an honour which is really due to colleagues, past and present, with whom it has been such a pleasure to work. It reflects the contribution everyone has made in supporting the House, especially during the past four years when I was privileged to be Clerk.
“In such unsettling times and facing such a range of challenges, so many people have responded with such professionalism, innovation and imagination. I am so happy to know that the House will benefit from all your skills and dedication in the future."
Current Members of Parliament
Meg Hillier MP, Member of Parliament for Hackney South and Shoreditch, has been awarded a DBE ((Dames Commander of the Order of the British Empire) for political and parliamentary service.
The Rt. Hon. Andrea Leadsom MP, Member of Parliament for South Northamptonshire, has been awarded a DBE for political service.
Tony Lloyd MP, Member of Parliament for Rochdale, has been awarded a Knights Bachelor for public service.
Members of the House of Lords
The Rt. Hon. Frederick Richard Penn Curzon, The Earl Howe, has been awarded a GBE (Knights Grand Cross of the Order of the British Empire) for political and parliamentary service.
Former Members of Parliament
Mary Creagh, Lately Member of Parliament for Wakefield, has been awarded a CBE (Commanders of the Order of the British Empire) for Parliamentary and Political Services.
