Here is a round up of what’s coming up this week in the House of Commons Chamber.

Monday 1 November

The House will sit from 2.30pm on Monday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Education, Nadhim Zahawi.

At 3.30pm there will be an urgent question from Jonathan Ashworth MP - To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to make a statement on plans to prescribe E-cigarettes to aid smoking cessation.

The main business will be continuation of the Budget Debate.

Tuesday 2 November

The House will sit from 11.30am on Tuesday starting with questions to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak.

The main business will be the conclusion of the Budget Debate.

Wednesday 3 November

Proceedings will begin from 11.30am on Wednesday starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Scotland, Alister Jack.

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 noon.

The main business will be a motion relating to the Third Report of Session 2021-22 from the Committee on Standards. This will be followed by the second reading of the Nuclear Energy (Financing) Bill, followed by a motion relating to the Membership of the Speaker's Committee for the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority.

Thursday 4 November

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Transport, Grant Shapps.

The main business will be two general debates on:

  • The proposal for an inquiry into the UK’s involvement in the NATO-led mission to Afghanistan.
  • The use of medical cannabis for the alleviation of health conditions.
