Here is a roundup of what’s coming up this week in the House of Commons Chamber.

Monday 29 November

The House will sit from 2.30pm on Monday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, Michael Gove.

The main business will be the second reading of the Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Bill [HL], followed by two motions:

  • Motion to approve a Ways and Means Resolution relating to the Animals (Penalty Notices) Bill.
  • Motion to approve a Money Resolution relating to the Approved Premises (Substance Testing) Bill.

Tuesday 30 November

The House will sit at 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Foreign Secretary, Elizabeth Truss. 

The main business will start with a debate to approve:

  • Health Protection (Coronavirus, Wearing of Face Coverings) (England) Regulations 2021.
  • Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (Self-Isolation) (England) (Amendment) (No.4) Regulations 2021.

This will be followed by an Opposition Day debate.

Wednesday 1 December

Proceedings will begin from 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the President of COP26, Alok Sharma.

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 noon.

The main business will be consideration in Committee of the Finance (No. 2) Bill.

Thursday 2 December

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade, Anne-Marie Trevelyan. The main business will be two Backbench Business debates:

  • Debate on Territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Debate on Debate on a Motion on Economic crime.

Friday 3 December

The House will be sitting this Friday from 9.30 am. The main business will be Private Members’ Bills. Find out what bills will be debated.
