The House of Commons returned from Conference recess on Monday 18 October. Business on Monday was changed from the planned debates to allow MPs to pay tribute to Sir David Amess MP following his tragic death.
Here is round up of this week's business in the House of Commons Chamber.

Monday 18th October
The House of Commons sat from 2.30pm on Monday starting with Questions to the Home Secretary, Priti Patel.
MPs held a one minute silence and paid tribute to Sir David Amess before attending a service of Prayer and Remembrance in St Margaret’s Church.
Tuesday 19th October
MPs will meet from 11.30am on Tuesday starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid.
Minister of State Greg Hands will make a statement on the Net Zero Strategy and Heat and Buildings Strategy.
Main business will begin with a motion on Independent Expert Panel recommendations for sanctions and the Recall of MPs Act 2015. This will be followed by a motion under the Coronavirus Act 2020 relating to the renewal of temporary provisions, followed by an Opposition Day debate on supporting small business.
Wednesday 20th October
Proceedings will begin from 11.30am with Questions to the President of COP26, Alok Sharma
Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 noon.
Main business will begin with consideration of Lords Amendments to the Environment Bill.
Thursday 21st October
The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday.
MPs will ask questions to the Secretary of State for International Trade, Anne-Marie Trevelyan.
Main business will start with a general debate on COP26 and limiting temperature rises to 1.5 degrees Celsius. This will be followed by a general debate on World Menopause Month. The subjects for these debates were determined by the Backbench Business Committee.
Friday 22 October
The House will be sitting on Friday for second readings of Private Members Bills. Find out more about which Bills here.
