Here is round up of what’s coming up this week in the House of Commons Chamber.

Monday 25 October

The House will sit from 2.30pm on Monday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities, Michael Gove MP.

The following Urgent Questions will take place:

  • Daisy Cooper - To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care if he will make a statement on the announcement to the media of £5.9 billion for NHS England.
  • Caroline Lucas - To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department to make a statement on the Afghan citizens’ resettlement scheme (ACRS).
  • Chi Onwurah - To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs if she will make a statement on the arrest of the Sudanese Prime Minister.
  • Tulip Siddiq - To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs if she will make a statement on Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.

The main business will be the second reading of the Animal Welfare (Kept Animals) Bill.

Tuesday 26 October

The House will sit from 11.30am on Tuesday starting with questions to the Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss MP.

Urgent question from Bridget Phillipson MP - To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer for a statement on the details of all the provisions in the upcoming Budget that have been made public in advance of the Chancellor's statement.

The main business will be a debate on the remaining stages of the Northern Ireland (Ministers, Elections and Concern) Bill, followed by the second reading of the Judicial Review and Courts Bill.

Wednesday 27 October

Proceedings will begin from 11.30am on Wednesday starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Northern, Brandon Lewis MP.

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 noon. 

The main business will be the Budget Statement delivered by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak.

Thursday 28 October

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, George Eustice MP.

At 10.30am there will  be an urgent question:

  • Deidre Brock MP - To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs if he will make a statement on how the UK will work with French officials to mitigate a trading dispute.

Main business will be the continuation of the Budget Debate.

Friday 29 October

The House will be sitting on Friday for consideration of Private Members Bills.
