Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week. Please note, this business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt MP, on Thursday 1 December. Monday 5 December

The House will sit at 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Mel Stride. The main business will be the remaining stages of the Online Safety Bill.

Tuesday 6 December

Proceedings will start at 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Steve Barclay.

The main business will be Opposition Day debates, subjects yet to be announced.

Wednesday 7 December

The House will sit at 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the Attorney General, Victoria Prentis.

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 midday. The main business will be the Remaining stages of the Financial Services and Marketing Bill.

Thursday 8 December

The House will sit at 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office, The Rt Hon Jeremy Quin.

The main business will be: 

  • Business Questions to the Leader of the House, Penny Mordaunt.
  • General Debate on the Twelfth Report of the Health and Social Care Committee on Cancer Services (HC 551) and the Government’s Response.
  • General Debate on the future of BBC Radio (the subjects for these debates were determined by the Backbench Business Committee, with the first debate recommended by the Liaison Committee).

Friday 9 December

The House will sit from 9.30am on Friday and the main business will be Private Members’ Bills.
