Lords debates Russia / Ukraine

The House of Lords debated the situation in Ukraine on Friday 25 February.
This was a general debate. During the debate, members drew on their experience and expertise to raise issues with the government including:
- extending current sanctions
- the upcoming bill on economic crime
- cutting Russia out of SWIFT payment system
- reducing European dependence on oil and gas from Russia
- humanitarian support to Ukraine
- visas and help for refugees
- the UK's role in Nato and Ukraine's potential membership.
