One Thursday each month, the House of Lords holds four short debates in Grand Committee.
On Thursday 20 January, members debated the following subjects:
Social media
Members discussed the role of social media in the deaths of UK children in a debate proposed by Baroness Kidron (Crossbench).
Qatar relations
Members discussed current relations with the Qatari government in a debate proposed by Lord Moynihan (Conservative).
Oil and gas industry
Members discussed subsidies and licensing in the oil and gas industry in a debate proposed by Baroness Jones of Moulsecoomb (Green).
E-scooters
Members discussed the safety of e-scooters in a debate proposed by Baroness Neville-Rolfe (Conservative).
