Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week. Please note, this business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt MP, on Thursday 22 September 2022. It is possible that changes will be made to the schedule of business throughout the week. This page will be updated should changes be made.

Tuesday 11 October

The House sits at 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Kwasi Kwarteng. This is follwed by Urgent Questions on:

  • The situation in Ukraine (Secretary of State for Defence)
  • Ongoing protests regarding the death of Mahsa Amini (Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs)

The main business will be a consideration of an allocation of time motion, followed by all stages of the Health and Social Care Levy (Repeal) Bill.

Wednesday 12 October

Proceedings start at 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Scotland, Alister Jack.

Prime Minister’s questions will take place at 12 noon, followed by an Urgent Question to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the current economic situation.

Thursday 13 October

The House will sit at 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Transport, Anne-Marie Trevelyan. The main business will be the second reading of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill.
