The House of Commons will resume sitting from Wednesday 21 September. Here is an overview of business scheduled in the Commons Chamber this week.

Wednesday 21 September  

The House will sit at 10.00am, giving MPs the opportunity to take the oath or make the affirmation to the new Monarch, should they wish to do so. 

Thursday 22 September 

The main business will be: 

  • Business Statement from the Leader of the House. 
  • General debate on the situation in Ukraine.
  • Statutory Instruments relating to sanctions.
  • Motion proposing that the House return from the conference recess on Tuesday 11 October. 

Friday 23 September 

The main business will be:

  • Statement by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the Growth Plan.
