Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week. Please note, this business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt MP, on Thursday 2 February. It is possible that changes will be made to the schedule of business throughout the week. This page will be updated should changes be made.

Monday 6 February
The House will sit at 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman.
The main business will be motions to approve the Draft Social Security Benefits Up-Rating Order 2023, the Draft Benefit Cap (Annual Limit) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and the Draft Guaranteed Minimum Pensions Increase Order 2023. This will be followed by a debate on a motion to approve the Charter for Budget Responsibility: Autumn 2022 Update.

Tuesday 7 February
Proceedings will start at 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt.
The main business will be the remaining stages of the Seafarers’ Wages Bill [Lords], followed by consideration of Lords Amendments to the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Bill.

Wednesday 8 February
The House will sit at 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Chris Heaton-Harris.
Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 midday. The main business will be motions relating to the Police Grant and Local Government Finance Reports.

Thursday 9 February
The House will sit at 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for International Trade, Kemi Badenoch.
