Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week. Please note, this business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt MP, on Thursday 2 March. It is possible that changes will be made to the schedule of business throughout the week. This page will be updated should changes be made.

Monday 6 March 

The House will sit at 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Mel Stride. 

The main business will be Committee of the whole House and remaining stages of the Social Security (Additional Payments) (No.2) Bill, followed by a consideration of Lords amendments to the Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Bill.

Tuesday 7 March 

Proceedings will start at 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Steve Barclay. 

The main business will be: 

  • Consideration of Lords amendments to the Public Order Bill. 
  • Motion to approve the Draft Alternative Fuel Payment Pass-Through Requirement (England and Wales and Scotland) Regulations 2023. 
  • Motion to approve the Non-Domestic Alternative Fuel Payment Pass-Through Requirement and Amendment Regulations 2023.

Wednesday 8 March 

The House will sit at 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the Minster for Women and Equalities, Kemi Badenoch, 

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 midday. The main business will be Estimates day debates. There will be debates on estimates relating to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, insofar as it relates to Adult social care; and the Department for Education, insofar as it relates to childcare and early years. At 7pm the House will be asked to agree all outstanding Estimates.

Thursday 9 March 

The House will sit at 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Lucy Frazer.
