Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week. Please note, this business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt MP, on Thursday 18 May. Monday 22 May 

The House will sit at 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman. 

The main business will be the committee of the whole House and remaining stages of the Non-Domestic Rating Bill, followed by the consideration of Lords amendments to the Strikes (Minimum Service Levels) Bill.

Tuesday 23 May 

Proceedings will start at 11.30am on Tuesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Grant Shapps. 

The main business will be an Opposition Day debate (subject to be announced).

Wednesday 24 May 

The House will sit at 11.30am on Wednesday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Wales, David T C Davies. 

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 midday.  

The main business will be a consideration of Lords amendments to the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill.

Thursday 25 May 

The House will sit at 9.30am on Thursday, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Thérèse Coffey. 

The main business will be two Backbench Business debates on: 

  • Recognition of the Ukrainian Holomodor 
  • Tackling Islamophobia
