What's on in the Lords 11-14 September

Questions
This week members question the government on the sanctions against Russia, support for women in Afghanistan, building 300,000 new homes a year, the impact of sugar on children's health and the effects of deep sea mining on the environment.
Legislation
Members will consider Commons changes to the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill, the Procurement Bill, the Energy Bill and the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Bill.
The House will continue to examine the Levelling-Up and Regeneration Bill and complete final checks of the Lifelong Learning (Higher Education Fee Limits) Bill.
Debates
Look out for a series of short debates on the Private Parking Code of Practice, migration as a result of climate change, prescription of controlled drugs, support for horseracing, ensuring the success of the Abraham Accords and improving access to services for people with osteoporosis.
Committees
The Science and Technology Committee begins its inquiry into long-duration energy storage, the Communications and Digital Committee looks at large language models and the European Affairs Committee considers the implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for the UK.
