Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week.   

This business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt MP, on Thursday 21 March. It is possible that changes will be made to the schedule of business throughout the week. Any changes will be reflected in What's On in Parliament.

Monday 15 April 

The House will sit from 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Home Secretary, James Cleverly.  

The main business will be:

Tuesday 16 April 

The House will sit from 11.30am, starting with questions to the Secretary State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Claire Coutinho.  

The main business will be the second reading of the Tobacco and Vapes Bill.

Wednesday 17 April 

The House will sit from 11.30am, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, Michelle Donelan 

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 midday.

Thursday 18 April 

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Lucy Frazer. 

The main business will be:  

  • Debate on a motion on access to redress schemes  
  • Debate on a Motion on Covid-19 pandemic response and trends in excess deaths
