Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week.     

It is possible that changes will be made to the schedule of business throughout the week. Any changes will be reflected in What's On in Parliament.

Monday 15 July   

The House is not expected to meet. 

Tuesday 16 July  

The House will sit from 11.30am to continue the swearing in of Members. 

Wednesday 17 July  

The House will meet from 11.25am for the King’s Speech. 

The main business will be the State Opening of Parliament. 

Thursday 18 July  

The House will sit from 9.30am.  

The main business will be debating the King’s Speech. Proposed subject for debate: Foreign affairs and defence.  

Friday 19 July  

The House will sit from 9.30am.  

The main business will be continuation of the debate on the King’s Speech. Proposed subject for debate: Planning, greenbelt and rural affairs.
