Members of the House of Lords continued their detailed examination of the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill on Tuesday 14 May.

The aim of the Economic Activity of Public Bodies (Overseas Matters) Bill is to prevent public bodies from participating in boycotts, divestment and sanctions campaigns against overseas states and territories, based on moral or political disapproval.

The 2023-2024 session of Parliament ended (prorogued) on 24 May 2024 ahead of the General Election on 4 July and so this bill will make no further progress.
