Questions

This week, members question the government on asylum claims, improvements to rail services, food security, cost of ammunition supplied to Ukraine and the protection of regional arts organisations.

Bills

Line by line examination of the Victims and Prisoners Bill and Data Protection and Digital Information Bill continues on Monday. Later in the week, the Lords ‘tidies up' the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill, and debates the key principles of the Offshore Petroleum Licensing Bill and the Leasehold and Freehold Reform Bill.

Committees

  • The Food, Diet and Obesity Committee hears from experts from the University of North Carolina, University of Sao Paulo and University of Oxford as part of its inquiry into diet health.
  • The Modern Slavery Act 2015 Committee continues its inquiry into the impact and effectiveness of the 2015 Modern Slavery Act. 
  • The Communications and Digital Committee continues its inquiry into the future of news by speaking to Jonathan Levy, managing editor and executive director of Sky News, and Angelos Frangopoulos, CEO of GB News Limited.
