Here is an overview of debates scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week.    

This business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Penny Mordaunt MP, on Thursday 9 May. It is possible that changes will be made to the schedule of business throughout the week. Any changes will be reflected in What's On in Parliament.

Monday 13 May 

The House will sit from 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Mel Stride. 

The main business will be:   

  • Motion to approve the Draft Procurement Regulations 2024 
  • Motion to approve the Draft Agriculture (Delinked Payments) (Reductions) (England) Regulations 2024 
  • Debate on a Motion on the risk-based exclusion of Members of Parliament

Tuesday 14 May 

The House will sit from 11.30am, starting with questions to the Secretary State for Justice, Alex Chalk. 

The main business will be: 

  • Motion to approve the draft Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (Amendment of Schedule A2) Order 2024 
  • Motion to approve the draft Code of Practice on fair and transparent distribution of tips

Wednesday 15 May   

The House will sit from 11.30am, starting with questions to the Minister for Women and Equalities, Kemi Badenoch 

Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 midday.    

The main business will be the remaining stages (day 1) of the Criminal Justice Bill.

Thursday 16 May 

The House will sit from 9.30am on Thursday starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Transport, Mark Harper. 

The main business will be a debate on the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman report on Women’s State Pension age.
