Here is an overview of business scheduled in the Commons Chamber over the coming week.
This business was announced in the Commons Chamber by the Leader of the House of Commons, Lucy Powell MP on Thursday 5 September. It is possible that changes will be made to the schedule of business throughout the week. Any changes will be reflected in What's On in Parliament.

Monday 9 September
The House will sit from 2.30pm, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson.
The main business will be:
- Consideration of a motion to approve the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment no.3 regulations).
- Consideration of a motion to approve the Syria (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment no.2 regulations).
- Consideration of a motion to approve the draft Renewable Transport Fuel Obligations (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) Order 2024.
- Consideration of a motion to approve the draft Human Medicines (Amendment relating to Naloxone and transfers of functions) regulations 2024.
Tuesday 10 September
The House will sit from 11.30am, starting with questions to the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, Shabana Mahmood.
The main business will be:
- Debate on a motion relating to the Social Fund Winter Payment Regulations 2024.
- Opposition Day (1st allotted day- First half) – debate on a motion in the name of the Official Opposition, subject to be announced.

Wednesday 11 September
The House will sit from 11.30am, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Wales, Jo Stevens.
Prime Minister’s Questions will take place at 12 midday.
The main business will be a general debate on Building Safety and Resilience.

Thursday 12 September
The House will sit from 9.30am, starting with questions to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Steve Reed.

The House will rise for Conference recess at the conclusion of business Thursday 12th September and will return Monday 7th October.
