Lords 'tidies up' Great British Energy Bill

The Great British Energy Bill has its third reading, a chance for members to make sure the eventual law is effective, workable and without loopholes, on Tuesday 25 February.

The Great British Energy Bill seeks to establish Great British Energy, as a publicly-owned and operationally independent energy company.

Third reading 

Third reading is a chance for members to ‘tidy up' a bill, making small changes to ensure it is effective.    

No amendments (changes) have yet been put forward ahead of third reading. Members may discuss the progress of the bill at the conclusion of its stages through the House of Lords.
