Value of lifelong learning to be debated in the Lords

On Thursday 6 February, members of the House of Lords will debate the social, economic and personal value of lifelong learning.
Debate
Lord Knight of Weymouth (Labour), professor at the Institute for Education, University of London, will put forward the debate.
This is a general debate. During debates, members put their experience to good use to discuss current issues and draw the government's attention to concerns.

- Lord Storey (Liberal Democrats), former primary school headteacher and chair of Burton Manor Adult Education College.
Baroness Smith of Malvern (Labour), Minister for Skills in the Department for Education, will respond on behalf of the government.
