Policing and protest inquiry continues

The Joint Committee on Human Rights takes evidence as part of its Policing and Protest inquiry at 1.45pm on Tuesday 25 November

Appearing before the Joint Committee will be Acting Assistant Commissioner Chris Allison MBE, Metropolitan Police Service; PC Neil Hickey, Police Federation of England and Wales; and Deputy Chief Constable Sue Sim, Northumbria Police and ACPO Public Order Lead.

The Committee are likely to raise questions on the difficulties the police face when policing protests, areas for legal reform, how the police comply with human rights and how to improve good practice.
