Earlier this year schools were invited to apply for Schools Question Time. The challenge gives students aged 14 to 18 the chance to run a Question Time-style event in their own school.

Ten regional winners receive a full day workshop on political literacy and communication skills from Parliament's Education Service and an award to the value of £250 from the Institute for Citizenship to run a Schools Question Time event.

Four winning schools are asked to nominate two pupils each to assist the BBC’s production team in making a special youth edition of the programme to go out on BBC One on 9 July 2009.

Thanks for your interest in the Schools Question Time challenge 2009. Please note the application deadline has now passed.
