The Treasury Committee looks at the work of the Financial Service Authority (FSA) in a year in which the way financial regulation is conducted has had to be radically re-evaluated. Peter Vicary-Smith, Chief Executive of Which? and Hector Sants, Chief Executive of the FSA are among the witnesses giving evidence from 1.30pm.

The basis for the session is scrutiny of the FSA’s Annual Report 2007/08. Topics likely to come up are the FSA’s Treating Customers Fairly initiative, the Retail Distribution Review, financial capability and the regulation of retail banking conduct of business.
