The evidence session is one of three on public service broadcasting. The Committee will also hear oral evidence from representatives of Channel 4, Channel 5 and ITV on 21 and 29 January

Mr Thompson and Ms Thomson will be asked whether they feel the current financial pressures on public service broadcasting are a short term problem or symptomatic of longer term trends. They will also be questioned on suggested solutions, including the BBC’s recent partnership proposals to assist other public service broadcasters, and on Ofcom’s three possible scenarios for the future of public service broadcasting.
