Committee questions hedge funds

As part of its inquiry into the banking crisis the Treasury Committee takes evidence from representatives involved in the hedge fund industry, from 9.45am.

Issues likely to come up are:

  • the implications of the hedge fund industry for financial stability
  • short-selling
  • the future of the hedge fund industry
  • corporate governance issues
  • shareholder rights and responsibilities
  • investor due diligence.
