The Committee is hearing evidence on the future of public service broadcasting. It has already heard from representatives of the BBC and will next week hear evidence from ITV and Channel Five.
In this week’s session with Channel 4, the Committee will ask Mr Duncan and Ms Bulford about Channel 4’s response to the BBC’s partnership proposals and how the decrease in advertising revenue is affecting Channel 4 and its commitment to developing British talent and programming. They will also be asked their views on suggestions that Channel 4 be privatised or merged with Channel Five.
