Lord Chancellor appears before Committee

The House of Lords Constitution Committee holds its annual evidence session with the Lord Chancellor at 10.30am.

The Committee hold an annual evidence session with the Lord Chancellor to seek his views on developing constitutional and legal issues.

At this year’s session the Committee will ask Jack Straw for an update on developments in the Government’s Governance of Britain programme, for details on how far work on a British Bill of Rights and Responsibilities has progressed and for his views on the transition of judicial business from the Law Lords in the House of Lords to the new UK Supreme Court.
