Lords Committee hears from ITV and Five

The House of Lords Communications Committee hears evidence from Michael Grade, Executive Chairman of ITV, and Dawn Airey, Chairman and Chief Executive of Five, from 10.30am.

The evidence sessions form part of the Committee’s short inquiry into the future of Public Service Broadcasting. The Committee have already heard evidence from the BBC’s Mark Thompson and Channel 4’s Andy Duncan.
The Committee will ask Mr Grade about ITV’s response to Ofcom’s recent consultations on Public Service Broadcasting, the BBC’s partnership proposals, and for his thoughts on Ofcom’s proposals for the future of regional news provision.
Ms Airey will be asked about the causes and implications of the current crises in Public Service Broadcasting funding and for her views on Five’s future relationships with the BBC and Channel 4.
The evidence sessions will be held in Committee Room 3 of the House of Lords. The full details are:
