Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Bob Quick gives evidence to the Home Affairs Committee inquiry into Home Office leaks.

The Committee’s inquiry is focusing on the way in which the Home Office reacted to the suspected leaks of information and the procedures followed by the Metropolitan Police when they were asked to investigate further. The Home Secretary, the Permanent Secretary and the London Mayor have already given evidence.

Keith Vaz MP, Chairman of the Committee said:

"I am delighted that the Assistant Commissioner will be giving evidence to the Committee as part of this important inquiry into the Policing Process of Home Office leaks. It will be useful to have on the public record the police's view of the process of pursuing inquiries into leaks from government departments."
