Lords banking supervision inquiry continues

The House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee inquiry into bank regulation and supervision continues at 3.35pm.

In the first session of the meeting, the Committee takes evidence from Peter Cooke, former head of banking supervision at the Bank of England; Michael Foot, former head of banking supervision at the Bank of England and currently Chairman of Promontory Financial Group (UK), and Sir Callum McCarthy, former Chairman of the Financial Services Authority.

In the second session at 4.15pm, the Committee hears from Lord Burns, Chairman of Abbey National and former Permanent Secretary at HM Treasury.
