Borders Bill: committee stage

During the fourth day of committee stage Members of the House of Lords discussed possible changes to the Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Bill on 10 March. Amendments discussed covered clauses 53 and 54 of the Bill.

Line by line examination of the Bill takes place during committee stage – every suggested change can be discussed and votes can happen. Any Member of the Lords can take part.
Committee stage of the Bill has now concluded. The Bill is scheduled to start its report stage - where further changes can be considered - on 25 March.
