Health Bill: committee stage

Members of the House of Lords discussed possible changes to the Health Bill during the fifth day of committee stage on 9 March. Amendments suggested covered clauses 19-21 of the Bill, which included banning tobacco displays in shops

Line by line examination of the Bill takes place during committee stage – every suggested change can be discussed and votes can happen. Any Member of the Lords can take part.

The Health Bill aims to improve the quality of NHS care and services and to improve public health.
