Introduction: Bishop of Bradford

In a short ceremony at the beginning of business, the Bishop of Bradford was introduced in the House of Lords on 23 March.

Introduction ceremonies - lasting for around five minutes - take place in the Lords Chamber before each Member is able to take their seat in the House.
26 Archbishops and Bishops sit in the House of Lords. Bishops are given a seat in order of seniority. When a Bishop retires they are replaced by next most senior Bishop. The Bishop of Bradford replaces the Bishop of St Albans.
