A Government Bill - aiming to provide greater opportunities for community and individual involvement in local decision-making - continued its passage through the Lords on 23 March.

Suggested changes to the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Bill were discussed during report stage. Amendments suggested covered clauses 23-68 of the Bill.

Further line by line examination of the Bill takes place during report stage and allows Members to revisit issues discussed previously. All suggested changes to the Bill can be discussed and votes can take place.

Report stage continues on 1 April.
