Members of the House of Lords discussed possible changes to the Northern Ireland Bill during committee stage. The Bill completed its remaining stages in the Lords on 11 March.

Both Houses agreed on the text of the Bill which now waits for the final stage of Royal Assent when the Bill will become an Act of Parliament. Royal Assent is scheduled for 12 March.

The Bill makes provision in relation to policing and justice in Northern Ireland and amends section 86 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
