Discussion of party funding and expenditure during elections took place in the House of Lords on 18 March

The second reading of the Political Parties and Elections Bill saw contributions from Members with a wide range of experience in finance, the law, fighting elections and more.

The committee stage - line by line examination of the Bill - where every suggested change can be discussed and votes can happen, is scheduled for 22 April.

The Bill deals with the regulation of party funding and election expenditure.
