The Speaker's Conference takes evidence at 10.20am on the representation of ethnic minorities in Parliament. Giving evidence to the Committee will be Baroness Uddin, Chair of the Black Asian and Minority Ethnic Women Councillors Taskforce; Dame Jane Roberts, Chair of the Councillors Commission, and Councillor Anjana Patel, Lead Member for Equalities, London Councils.

The Speaker’s Conference was established by the House of Commons to look into the reasons why there are not more women, disabled people and people from ethnic minority communities in the House of Commons.
