UK Film Council speaks to Committee inquiry

Representatives from the UK Film Council are among the witnesses giving evidence to the House of Lords Communications Committee at 10.30am, as part of the Committee's inquiry into UK originated content in film and television.

In the first session at 10.30am, the Committee hears from John Woodward, CEO, and Stewart Till, Chairman, UK Film Council, the Government backed agency for film in the UK.
In the second session at 11.30am, Luke Crawley and Martin Spence, Assistant General Secretaries, of the Broadcasting Entertainment Cinematograph and Theatre Union (BECTU), speak to the Committee.
The Committee's inquiry examines the contribution of the UK film and television industries to the British economy and how this might be increased. It also examines the cultural contribution of the industry and how current arrangements support UK investment and jobs.
